Everywhere on the site and in this text the terms we, us and our refer to the Vegan Academy. We offer all courses, recipes and other information on the website under the condition that you as user of the site agree to all terms and conditions as stated below.

By visiting our site or purchasing a course, you are using our online services and automatically agree to our Terms and Conditions. These terms and conditions apply to all users of the site. Before the distance contract is concluded, the text of these Terms and Conditions will be made available to the customer.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before visiting, using or making a purchase from the site. If you do not agree to all the terms of this agreement, you may not visit the site or use the services of the Vegan Academy.

1. Definitions
Services: the Vegan Academy offers the following services through its website: online courses, online recipes, product development information.

Online course: a course whose course material is made available to customers only through streaming on the website. The course material consists of texts, videos, recipes and downloadable appendices in pdf.

Online recipes: recipes that can be accessed through the Vegan Academy website. These can be recipes that are part of a course and free recipes that are accessible to registered users.

Content: the content published on the website of the Vegan Academy

Course content: content published on the website of the Vegan Academy related to a specific topic or course.

Customer: the person who enters into an agreement with the Vegan Academy. This can be a registration on the website or the purchase of a course.

Entrepreneur: the natural or legal person who offers products and access to digital content and/or services to customers at a distance.

Distance contract: a contract concluded between the Vegan Academy and the customer via the website of the Vegan Academy.

2. Changes to the General Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or amend any part of these Terms and Conditions at any time. If we do so, depending on the nature of the change, we will post the changes on this page and indicate at the top of this page the date when these terms and conditions were last revised.

3. Privacy
The Vegan Academy respects the privacy of all users of the website and of our services. For more information, please consult the privacy statement. By registering as a user of our site or purchasing an online course, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as set forth in our privacy statement.

4. Access to and use of the Vegan Academy
4.1 Description of use
All online content provided by the Vegan Academy is intended for personal and non-commercial use only. By purchasing courses from the Vegan Academy, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the course content and to view course(s) through the website on a streaming-only basis. Except for the foregoing limited license, no rights, title or interest are transferred to you. You agree not to use our content for public performances. The Vegan Academy may discontinue access to website content at any time. Upon such discontinuance, you must immediately destroy all content downloaded or otherwise obtained through the website, as well as copies of such materials.

4.2 Registration Obligation
In order to access the paid and unpaid content of the Vegan Academy, you are required to register. Upon registration, you agree to provide us with accurate, current, and complete information about yourself as requested in the registration form for enrollment in our courses. The information we collect about you upon registration is subject to our privacy statement.

NOTE Anyone under the age of 18 may only use the service with the approval of a parent or guardian.

4.3 Course access, password and security
You may never use another person’s account, and you may not give another person your username and password to access your account. You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account, and it is your responsibility to ensure that your password is and remains secure. You agree to notify the Vegan Academy immediately of any unauthorized use of your password, and you will ensure that you always log out at the end of each session on our website. The Vegan Academy shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this clause.

4.4 Changes to our services
The Vegan Academy reserves the right to change or discontinue courses, recipes or other services temporarily or permanently, with or without prior notice. You agree that the Vegan Academy shall not be held liable by you or any third party for any change, removal or discontinuance of any service.

4.5 Mobile Services
The Vegan Academy services are also available on mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones. To the extent you access our services via a mobile device, your mobile service provider’s standard charges, data rates and other fees may apply. Please note that. The Vegan Academy cannot be held liable in any way for these additional costs of our services due to mobile usage. In addition, downloading, installing or using certain mobile services may be prohibited or restricted by your provider, and not all mobile services work with all providers or devices.

4.6 Cancellation
Vegan Academy online courses cannot be cancelled after purchase. By ordering and paying for digital products, the customer gains immediate access to the course content. By accepting these General Terms and Conditions, the customer expressly agrees that he thereby waives the right to make use of the cooling-off period and the right to withdraw from the contract.

However, live workshops on location can be cancelled under the following conditions.

Cost of cancellation or rescheduling of a live workshop:
Rescheduling or cancellation up to 14 days before the workshop starts: €10.00 administration fee.
Rescheduling or cancellation within 3 to 14 days before the workshop starts: 50% of the ticket price.
No-show, rescheduling or cancellation starting 3 days before the workshop: 100% of the ticket price.

Cancellation or modification must be notified by e-mail at info@veganacademy.eu

Replacement
You may transfer your ticket to another participant if you are unable to attend. Please email this to us in advance via info@veganacademy.eu. There is no extra charge for this.

Force majeure
Cancellation by Vegan Academy
Vegan Academy reserves the right to cancel the course at any time before the start due to insufficient number of participants, illness or any other form of force majeure. In this case, the customer will receive a cancellation notice by e-mail and may receive a full refund for the course.
In case a cancellation is due to a third party or event beyond our control, we will offer the customer an alternative on another date. In this case, no automatic refund of fees will take place. If the customer does not use the alternative we offer and also fails to respond to it within 1 month, our obligation to refund will lapse.

4.7 Commercial use
No part of the Vegan Academy website and course content may be distributed, licensed, published, reproduced, duplicated, copied, modified, sold, resold, exploited, transferred or uploaded for commercial purposes without the express written permission of the Vegan Academy.

4.8 Complaints
Complaints about the services of the Vegan Academy must be fully and clearly described and submitted to the Vegan Academy within 2 months after the customer has discovered the defects. For this purpose, this e-mail address can be used: support@veganacademy.eu. Submitted complaints will be answered within a period of 14 days, counting from the date of receipt. If a complaint requires a foreseeably longer processing time, the entrepreneur will respond within the period of 14 days with a message of receipt and an indication of when the customer can expect a more detailed answer. The customer should in any case give the entrepreneur 4 weeks to resolve the complaint in mutual consultation. After this period a dispute arises that is subject to the dispute resolution procedure.

4.9 Disputes
All agreements between the Vegan Academy and the customer to which these General Terms and Conditions apply, are exclusively governed by Dutch law. This also applies if the customer resides or is established abroad. The judge in the place of residence of the customer is exclusively authorized to take cognizance of disputes, unless provisions of mandatory law dictate otherwise.

5. Prices and payments
The prices of our courses are listed on the website of the Vegan Academy and include VAT, unless otherwise stated. To purchase Vegan Academy courses, you will be required to select a payment service and provide information about your credit card or other payment method. You hereby declare that such information is correct and that you are the one authorized to use the means of payment.

6. Intellectual Property Rights
6.1 Copyright
You hereby acknowledge and agree that the Vegan Academy may contain content that is protected by copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets or other proprietary rights and laws. You agree not to modify, copy, frame, rent, lease, loan, sell, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Vegan Academy content except with the express written permission of the Vegan Academy.

6.2 User Content Sent by Email
You acknowledge and agree that any photos, questions, comments, suggestions, ideas, feedback or other information related to the Vegan Academy’s courses and other content emailed by you to the Vegan Academy may be used or distributed without restriction. The Vegan Academy may also use these submissions for any purpose, commercial or otherwise, without acknowledgement or compensation.

7. Third party websites
The Vegan Academy may provide hyperlinks or access to other sites on the Internet. Or other sites may provide access to the Vegan Academy through a hyperlink. The Vegan Academy has no control over these sites and the Vegan Academy is not responsible for the content of such sites. By these Terms and Conditions, you agree that the Vegan Academy shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused by – or alleged to be caused by – the use of or reliance on any content, events, goods or services available on or through any such site. Any online contact you have with third parties while using the Vegan Academy is between you and the third party, and you agree that the Vegan Academy is not liable for any loss or claim you may have against such third party.

8. Warranties
Your use of the Vegan Academy is entirely at your own risk. The website content is provided without any warranties. Therefore, unless expressly provided otherwise, the Vegan Academy expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind. For example, the Vegan Academy does not warrant that:
1. the website content will meet your requirements.
2. the website content will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
3. the results that may be obtained from the use of the website content will be accurate or reliable.
4. the quality of any products, services, information or other materials purchased or obtained by you through the Website will meet your expectations.
